Unlike conventional courses of spherical astronomy, the book focuses not on mathematical calculations, but on the principles of spherical astronomy, its qualitative side. The number of formulas in the main text is minimized, and those formulas that are convenient to have at hand when conducting not very strict calculations are listed in the appendix. The appendix contains a large amount of reference material that allows you to navigate in astronomical tables, in the Yearbook, as well as to calculate the positions of the stars with an accuracy of a minute. The book may be of interest to anyone who faces the task of calculating the positions in the sky of any stars.
