This course is the result of efforts by AMSZ to meet the urgent training needs of emergency medical education centers for specialized programs tailored to non-medical personnel, such as police officers or firefighters. These first responders are often the initial ones on the scene during accidents, traffic collisions, and emergencies. AMSZ tasked its partners at the Bet Israel Dikoness Medical Center at Harvard University and Emergency Medical Visions International Inc. to adapt the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Standard First Aid Training Program for the CEE/Eurasia region. This program represents the most comprehensive and effective first aid training available today. The adapted version has been reviewed and approved by emergency medical and disaster medicine experts from several Eurasian countries.
