The review analyzes the problems of creating equipment for vulcanization of tires with sector molds. Designs of one- and two-phase sector molds are presented; changes made by foreign firms to formers-volcanizers for the purpose of installing mechanisms for controlling elements of two-phase sector molds. The analysis and technical characteristics of domestic equipment for vulcanization of tires for cars in sector molds are given. The review is based on published domestic and foreign materials and patents. The survey is intended for engineering and design workers, Research Institutes and Enterprises , engaged in the development and operation of vulcanization equipment for the production of tires , as well as for students of relevant specialties of universities and technical schools , inventors and innovators of tire factories.
