Gennady Samoilovich Gore published his first story in 1925 , in the Komsomol magazine "Young Proletarian" . In the thirties, his books about the peoples of the Far North appeared: “Langero”, “Bring me, the river”, “Big fir forests” .. In the post-war years, the writer was attracted by a large and complex topic: he began to write about the scientific knowledge of the world, about the life and work of Soviet scientists. The novel "University Embankment", the story "One-name" and "Professor Orochev's Error" reveal the world of scientific interests, pose moral and intellectual problems characteristic of our era. His first sci-fi story, “The Obscure Interviewer,” was published by Gennady Gore in 1961. It has been translated into many foreign languages and has caused responses in the Soviet and foreign press. Then several science fiction stories and stories were published on topics related not only to space exploration, the scientific and technological revolution, but also to the revolution in the consciousness of modern man caused by social and scientific progress. In the book of science fiction stories and short stories offered to readers, the author sets himself new tasks. He is interested not only in science and technology, but primarily in the emotional inner world of a modern person holding an exam for a citizen of the future. In the stories and stories of this collection, philosophical problems are posed that are relevant for our time, when a person, quickly changing the world, changes himself.
