This is one of Bernhard Grzymek's later books. He became famous for his books on the nature of Africa, but traveled to Europe, visited the USSR. This book describes the Soviet tour. The illustrations in the book were absolutely wonderful and I couldn’t help but keep them safe and sound. The book itself is an absolutely remarkable description of the nature of the USSR. In "Wild Animal" the heroes became: sable, beavers, marmots, tours, bears, storks, elk, sheep, turtles, deer, snow goats, deafmen . So the author "jumps" through the climatic zones and goes beyond the boundaries of his journey through the USSR. Grzymek's language is as beautiful as ever, I like how he is able to avoid the many comparisons and lengthy descriptions of nature that Darrell and especially Paustowski make, but at the same time describes the nature and life of animals very vividly. It is useless to describe the book, it is a description of the life of animals and travel notes, as such there is no plot, but I strongly recommend the work to be read.
