The guidelines contain the necessary theoretical information and practical material for obtaining skills in the mathematical package Mathcad. On specific sample examples, the procedure for performing laboratory work in computer science is analyzed in detail. In order to consolidate the material at the end of the manual, individual tasks are offered for self-fulfillment. It is assumed that the student is already familiar with the Windows operating system and Word text editor, and also has initial computer skills. The work is intended for junior students of all specialties of universities, who continue to study the possibilities of using modern computer technologies to solve computational problems stipulated by the requirements of the GOSVO . The method of solving such problems can be used by students in senior courses for strength calculations, as well as in the performance of NIRS, course and diploma design.
