Laboratory work of a general physics workshop on wave optics is delivered in the centimeter range of electromagnetic waves . Fraunhofer's diffraction on the slit, as well as on the slit, half the area of which is covered with a half-wave plate, is experimentally investigated. The observed results of the experiment are consistent with the theory of diffraction.
