The proposed course is aimed at the formation of basic knowledge about ontologies and thesauruses and practical skills in the design and application of ontology in the development of components of intelligent software. The course introduces students to the basic concepts of the field of knowledge representation, Examples of best practices in the development of systems based ontologies and thesaurus, Describe the tasks, with the help of , ............................... as well as a set of tools for the design and presentation of ontology and information search thesaurus. The central place in the course is given to the topic of information search. Seen in detail as traditional search methods: by keywords. based on binary search techniques, ranked search and probabilistic models, as well as approaches to improving the quality of search using thesaurus and ontology. In the part of lectures devoted to the design of ontology, along with the description of classical and modern methodologies, attention is paid to the analysis of examples of real projects.
