This book is a revised edition of the first volume of a three-volume physics textbook for students of higher technical educational institutions, repeatedly published in the Soviet Union and abroad. As a result of processing, the presentation of a number of issues of mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics was clarified and expanded.
