5th Edition . — SPb. : ELBI-SPb, 2010. — 68 s. Osteology is the first section from which the study of human anatomy begins. This manual provides for the systematization of knowledge gained in lectures and practical exercises. For brevity, the main parts of the bones are given under a certain number, and the formations available on them are separated by a hyphen and written in a nominative case. Latin terms are given without abbreviations, since in the first semester a very important aspect of learning is the assimilation of anatomical terminology. The text is accompanied by informative illustrations showing all the necessary anatomical formations. When presenting particular questions, special attention is paid to the correct orientation of the bones in relation to the anatomical rack (vertical position of the body, hands are turned palms forward). The publication is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the curriculum on human anatomy for higher educational medical institutions. It contains basic data on the anatomy of the bone system, taking into account the requirements of the International Anatomical Nomenclature (2003). Compared with the previous edition, the necessary changes and additions have been made. The information presented in this manual will contribute to the successful study of the material on the textbook, will qualitatively prepare for the test and exam, represent a good basis for self-monitoring and computer testing.
