The time of action is the end of the 80s of the last century. Settings: the first act is St. Petersburg, the second is Tel Aviv. Briefly retelling this play is like briefly retelling a walk through the jungle: there are too many nuances. This play is for those who are interested in the fate of the artist in this best of worlds. Naum (48 years old), an artist, with his young wife Lisa (21 years old) emigrates from Russia to Israel. He spends his farewell night before leaving in the apartment of his first wife Valeria (45 years old) and son (18 years old). Everyone still remembers: there was the Soviet Union. Naum tried for many years to break free from the totalitarian regime. He was not released, he was persecuted, he was put in prison. The result is a ruined family life (he once loved Valeria very much and still does), a homosexual son, a broken career, unfulfilled dreams. Finally, Naum changes countries in the hope of catching up with “his destiny—the departing train.” But no one needs him in Israel either: it’s too late. The young wife becomes a prostitute, he commits suicide.
