The textbook is intended for students of the specialty "Applied mathematics and computer science", studying in the second year of the day department and the third year of the evening department, in the discipline "Theoretical mechanics" . The proposed educational and methodological material is designed to help students learn one of the sections of theoretical mechanics - kinematics. Definitions, positions and postulates introduced in kinematics are then actively used in dynamics - the main section of theoretical mechanics. The manual includes theoretical foundations: definitions: and practical examples in the form of solving the most typical problems of kinematics The manual also contains a list of questions for self-control and a list of tasks for independent decision. The result of the study of kinematics for students of the faculty of PMM is the solution of credit work, variants of which are given in the manual, along with the analysis of typical tasks of this kind.
