The book consists of six chapters .. The first chapter contains the conclusion of those formulas that are necessary for further reasoning. The second chapter contains an article on the calculation and design of lenses. In the same chapter, numerical data are given for the construction of the main types of lenses for the telescope, microscope and photography. The third chapter contains general observations about optical instruments, important especially for the theory of the microscope and telescope; therefore, these comments precede the fourth chapter, which contains the theory of the microscope, and the fifth, which contains the theory of the telescope. The fifth chapter also refers to the design of eyeglasses. The last (sixth) chapter contains optical technology, which describes the method of preparing optical systems. The last chapter is quite detailed about grinding, polishing, centring, gluing, and lens framing. Thus, the first five chapters set out the theory of optical systems, and in addition to this theory, the sixth chapter sets out the practical side of the question, t. e. a method of manufacturing optical systems from this material is elucidated.
