This manual is intended for study in senior courses by students of the Department of English Philology . The present manual, devoted to the theme of 'Painting', is the first part of the complex on the theme of 'Art', along with two other parts devoted to the themes of 'Music' and 'Literature'. The manual is aimed at improving the skills of oral and written speech and expanding the vocabulary on the proposed topic. The main purpose of this manual is the development and improvement of unprepared, spontaneous speech, the ability to state their point of view, participate in the discussion. Also an important place in the manual is given to the development of skills in translating texts from Russian into English. This manual reflects the principle of interrelated, integrated training in various activities: reading, speaking, listening, writing and translation.
