Petrograd: Life and Knowledge, 1918. — 113 s. The book “State and Revolution” was written by Lenin in hiding, in August-September 1917. According to the planned plan, the book “State and Revolution” was to consist of seven chapters, but the last, seventh, chapter “Experience of the Russian Revolutions of 1905 and 1917” was not written by Lenin, only a detailed plan of this chapter was preserved. On the issue of the publication of the book, Lenin wrote in a note to the publisher that if he was "too late with the end of this, VII-th chapter, or if it is excessively swollen, then the first six chapters should be published separately, as the first issue..." On the first page of the manuscript, the author of the book is indicated by the pseudonym "F. F. Ivanovskiy . Under such a pseudonym, Lenin intended to publish his book, since otherwise the Provisional Government would confiscate it. The book was published only in 1918 and the need for this pseudonym was no longer necessary. The second edition of the book with Lenin's new section "The formulation of the question by Marx in 1852" was published in 1919. Post-reform spelling.
