"Klansman: A Historical Novel About the Ku Klux Klan" is a book by the American writer Thomas Dixon, Jr., which reveals to us a distant and difficult period of American history. In this novel, the author depicts the period of reconstruction after the Civil War in the USA and the activities of the secret organization of the Ku Klux Klan. The book provokes much controversy and reflection on racial intolerance, uplift and loss.
At the heart of the plot is the relationship between southern white landowners and free black slaves. The heroes of the book find themselves in bloody events, depicted by the author with great emotionality and devotion to ideals, which, unfortunately, permeated many representatives of that time.
"Klanivets" is not only an exciting read, but also an occasion to discuss important social issues.
