The authors' major focus is the description of Abelian extensions. Arithmetical properties of local fields are investigated and Milnor's K-groups for local fields are calculated. Two appendices briefly introduce multidimensional local class field theory and describe the structure for the absolute Galois group of a local field. Numerous exercises are included.
