The first volume contains translations of two major monographic reviews of B. Pauli on quantum theory: "Quantum theory" (1925) and "General principles of wave mechanics" (1932). The book also includes translations of a number of Pauli's original articles on quantum theory dating back to 1920-1928. Among them is an article that formulated the prohibition principle, now known as the Pauli principle. The second volume contains the main articles B. Pauli on the problems of relativistic quantum mechanics, quantum electrodynamics, meson theory, symmetry theory of elementary particles. The ideas developed in them had a profound influence on the formation of modern ideas about physical fields. Most articles are published in Russian for the first time.
