The influence of magnetic ordering on elastic properties of solids (magnetic elastic effects). It is shown that these effects are a source of information about the dependence of exchange and magnetocrystalline interactions on interatomic distances. The presented material can be used in the educational literature for a more complete description of the physical properties of condensed media.
