The second volume includes works written by M. Bitter in 1895-1896. Of these, the following were included in previous collections of the writer's works: "Conclusion", "On the rafts", "Case with clasps", "Khan and his son", "Comrades", "Reader", "Tosca", "Ballad about Countess Ellen de Courcy", "Varyenka Olesova" . These works were repeatedly edited by M. himself. Bitter. They were last edited by the writer when preparing a collection of essays in the publication of the Book, in 1923-1927. The remaining 44 works of 2 volumes were first included in the collection of works of the GIHL in 1949.
