A story about the continuity of generations and how the embedded seed of faith can germinate in the heart of an adult. The story is “constructed” according to the principle of reverse perspective, as in icon painting (I am an icon painter, I couldn’t resist “drawing” an icon for the sake of experiment). Here time is presented in two fragments at the same time. The main character is Savely (Saul, if we go back to the original sources). The name is not accidental, look closely. As marks in the margins and for the volumetric “deformation” of time, the story is equipped with two flashbacks filled with symbols, accessible even to casual attention. From the point of view of the plot, the story is dedicated to the main song of the daily cycle of worship in the Orthodox Church.
