The planet is dying, but people continue to fight for their lives. The star, which has provided warmth and light for billions of years, has failed earthlings and is fading. The only source of energy is the solar shield. Located in outer space between the Earth and the Sun, it is designed to catch weak solar radiation and, amplifying it tens of times, scatter it onto the Earth's surface. Another team of solar panel repairmen arrives on duty. Everything goes as usual until an unaccounted passenger is discovered on the spaceship.
