Around the age of thirteen, Sinitsyn realized that he would never fly into space. Even then he had myopia and was overweight, but people like him weren’t accepted there. No, becoming an astronaut was not his burning childhood dream, he just wanted to see our planet from orbital heights, so that he could then live an ordinary earthly life with this knowledge.
