This fairy tale was written thanks to... a gust of wind. How? And so. There lived a man in America. He really liked to draw cats, birds, turtles... One day a window opened in the room where he was working. The wind swirled the drawings that lay on the table. A small drawing of an elephant ended up on the floor on top of a large drawing of a tree. The man laughed and... wrote a fairy tale about an elephant that climbed a tree. The man's name is Theodor Seuss Geisel. However, he signed the fairy tale with a different, fictitious name: Dr. Seuss. And he named the elephant Horton, in honor of his classmate. The tale of Horton the elephant, who hatches an egg instead of a bird, is very popular in America. And here, in Russia, the fairy tale has been published more than once.
