The sixth issue of our magazine featured a story by the famous English writer Arthur Conan Doyle - but not about Sherlock Holmes. Now we bring to your attention a story about Sherlock Holmes - but not Conan Doyle. This story is taken from the book of the Polish chemist V. Golembowicz "The Chemical Adventures of Sherlock Holmes", published in Warsaw. Probably, many admirers of Conan Doyle remember that, in addition to his main hobby, Sherlock Holmes had two more - violin and chemistry. It is this last hobby that is given the most honorable place in V. Golembovich’s book. The great detective would not have succeeded in any of the stories in this book if he had not had serious knowledge of chemistry...
The story was published in the magazine “Chemistry and Life”, No. 10, 1965.
