“Monuments of Historical Literature” is a new series of e-books from Strelbitsky Multimedia Publishing House. This series includes works of various genres: historical novels and stories, scientific works on history, popular science essays and essays, chronicles, biographies, memoirs, and even works of Russian tsars. What they have in common is that almost every book has become a milestone, an event, or an integral part of history itself. This is a series for those who are inclined not to rewrite history, but to comprehend it, using primary sources without cuts or interpretations. Many authors wrote about the Ulyanovs from Simbirsk, but not all of them were able to resist biased glorification of V.I. Lenin’s family. Among the exceptions was the Russian Social Democrat, Menshevik G. A. Solomon (Isetsky). He first met the Ulyanovs in 1898, on the recommendation of one of Lenin's associates. Solomon describes the features of the family structure, character traits and actions that were little mentioned or ignored in official Soviet literature.
