In South America and Africa there live interesting fish from the superfamily of spawn-bearing carp-toothed fish, which are called seasonal fish. They live in shallow puddles, ponds, ditches, the depth of which can be less than ten centimeters and which exist only during the rainy season, and dry up completely during the dry season. Accordingly, the life of these fish is limited to one rainy season.
