The incorrigible romantic Pasquale, touchingly in love with his young wife, after a series and series of cheap rented apartments, manages to rent a huge old house - and for absolutely nothing! The fact is that the house has a bad reputation. They say that many, many years ago its owner, a Spanish grandee, found his wife with her lover and ordered them to be walled up alive. This is the rumor about ghosts inhabiting the house that Pasquale must dispel. So Pasquale is not only not surprised when he sees an unknown young man in his rooms, but also happily accepts considerable sums of money, which, unknown how, end up in his jacket pocket. The situation in which a deceived husband mistakes his wife’s lover for a ghost creates a cascade and desperately funny and truly touching situations. The heroes of the famous play by the great Italian comedian Eduardo De Filippo will have to take a new look not only at their loved ones, but also at themselves. Human relationships become illusory when lies seep between people, and true love is destroyed under the weight of misunderstandings and compromises.
