How can I retell a book about Guguta, except in general terms - “funny stories about the adventures of a little boy”? How to retell a miracle? And it begins as soon as you meet the hero: “Gugutse didn’t even have time to put on his big winter hat, and winter was already here. Apparently, she liked the boy and his hat. Snowflakes flew from four corners of the world to look at Gugutse. And they covered him from head to toe. He stands round and white, like a snowman. Only smoke billows from under the hat. “Fathers!” - the snowflakes were surprised. - Is he really lighting a fire under his hat? What a weirdo! Yes, put on such a hat and the cold will jump out from under it! They didn’t know that when Gugutse breathes, steam comes out of his mouth...” Gugutse’s character is quite definite, although we are talking about a very small boy, a preschooler. He is such a proper little man, kind, sympathetic, observant, hardworking, he is natural and persistent, like nature itself. And he is also unusually active, like all the heroes of Vangeli. “...I had an active childhood, and I want to drag other children into the whirlpool of life,” says the writer. Gugută is open to communication and ready to help everyone who needs it. I don’t think the writer wanted to show that his hero is a kind of angel; you can’t call him a “blank slate” on which life will later write different stories... Of course, Gugutse embodies a fairy-tale image of childhood, but he is not at all idealized. Gugutse is a normal, albeit very talented child (aren’t all children talented?), he’s just GOOD.
