Perhaps someone will be surprised by the choice of topic for this publication, since the seven dozen Jagdtigers released showed almost nothing on the battlefield. The statements of some researchers that the costs of manufacturing such giants did not pay off and they became just a symbol of the “all-crushing power of the German army” sound quite correct. But nevertheless, the very fact of their creation and combat use in the dying “Third Reich” is very interesting. Unfortunately, the small number of Jagdtigers produced left an extremely small amount of factual material about their creation and use. Apparently, this is precisely what determines the extremely limited number of publications about this interesting machine.
