The song “A Christmas Tree was Born in the Forest” was loved by more than one generation of little readers. For more than fifty years, children have known and sung it. The music for the song was written by composer L.K. Beckman. For many years, the name of the author of the song's lyrics remained unknown. Some considered the song a folk song, while others attributed it to the composer. In 1941, the song was first published in Detgiz under the full name of the author. It was written by Raisa Adamovna Kudasheva. Peru R.A. Kudasheva also owns other works: “Fun Grandmother and Boom the Dog,” “Cockerel Trouble,” and “Sled-Scooter,” also published at one time without indicating the author’s name.
