An expedition exploring the surface of our satellite stumbles upon a mysterious find...
A brief summary of the work (opening the spoiler - you only have yourself to blame!) The story is included in the collection "Rocketplane S-218". p>
Members of the first expedition to our satellite Boris Poleshchuk and John Garrison in the story by Vladimir Vladko “On the Moon as on the Moon” (On the Moon as on the Moon, 1968) on the twelfth day find... an egg! A large frost-covered egg, next to which four more similar ones were immediately dug up. But how did they get to the moon? And when? Poleshchuk, firmly believing in the hypothesis of the origin of our satellite by breaking away from the Earth, thus received additional powerful evidence of this theory. And irrefutable proof of this theory came a week later, when from one such egg, brought by the astronauts into the airlock chamber, hatched... a living pterodactyl! In addition to the samples collected by researchers, it would become an excellent stumbling block in disputes and debates throughout the entire scientific world of Earth for many decades to come. But this was not destined to happen. The meteor shower of the famous Leonid meteor shower destroyed part of the lunar station complex, as well as all the pterodactyl eggs in addition. In general, on the Moon as on the Moon, you never know what surprise awaits you in a minute.
