The Soviet Union is going through difficult times, the insatiable and ruthless sharks of power are changing. The beginning of the 90s was marked for the country by a series of fundamental changes. There was a struggle between criminal clans eager to strengthen themselves by seizing power and money into their own hands. A sudden political leap broke the thin veil of calm and introduced new economic and social relations into the country. Prostitution, drug addiction, and crime have mercilessly wrapped their sinister tentacles around the country's population. The life of a little nine-year-old boy named Alexei has changed dramatically. His parents die tragically under mysterious circumstances, and he is left alone in this new ruthless world, where there is no warmth and affection, and grief and indifference run rampant. Where everyone is for himself, trying to survive, unwittingly plunging into a monstrous ocean of vices. From an excellent student and obedient boy, Alexey turns into a street child and a hooligan. His life is spent on the streets of the city, in the struggle for survival. But fate becomes even more terrible for him, taking away his last hope - faith in people, and overturns him into darkness. Almost alone, he reveals the secret of the death of his parents and confronts an entire crime clan.
