Harmony of sounds, colors, numbers - and all this in order to destroy the enemy.* * *Aspiring American writer Yun Ha Lee was born in 1979 in Houston (Texas) in a family of Korean immigrants (so according to the rules, the surname - Lee - should come first: Lee Yoon Ha), who then returned to their homeland, South Korea, where they currently live. The writer herself lived in the USA, as well as in Canada and Greece. In his brief autobiography, Yoon Ha Lee writes: “A person raised in two cultures must be prepared for the fact that a) he will have to achieve perfect functioning in both, and b) experience constant discomfort in both.” Yoon Ha Lee’s debut in fiction became the story “The Hundredth Question” (1999). Since then, she has published a dozen more stories. The writer currently lives in San Diego (California) with her husband and daughter.
