Deep rooting in the national soil is generally characteristic of our artistic talents, no matter what social processes and political conflicts serve as the background for their activities. In the most alarming and troubled days, they clearly realized that the truth was in the people, in their cultural traditions and moral ideas. Is this why the organic closeness to the soil principle can be traced in ancient icons and frescoes, in the domestic version of baroque and classicism, and is preserved in the aesthetics of Russian romanticism, historically established forms of artistic realism from critical to socialist.
