"Reflections" are personal notes of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, made by him in the 70s. 2nd century n. e. They reflect the persistent desire of Marcus Aurelius to be guided in his worldview by the Stoic teachings. Thanks to the exceptional position of Marcus Aurelius and his developed literary talent, this document allows (a rare case in the history of ancient literature!) to observe not so much personal life, but intense personal work on mastering achievements centuries-old Stoic tradition, subsequently became one of the most widely read monuments of world literature.
