The play “Blow” is based on real events that occurred in 2002 in the German town of Potzlow, where two Schönfeld brothers, 23-year-old Marco and 17-year-old Marcel, and their friend, 17-year-old Sebastian, were tortured and brutally killed their 16-year-old friend, Marinus. “Murder in Potzlov” received a wide public response. Andres Fayel also became interested in the crime. For six months, together with Gesine Schmidt, he conducted interviews with everyone who knew anything about this tragedy. By assembling in one text excerpts from court records, conversations, interrogations of young murderers, their parents, friends, prosecutors and Potzlov residents, the playwrights created a play.
