The book offered to the reader contains fragments from the spiritual heritage of Hieroschemamonk Jerome (in the world Ivan Pavlovich Solomentsov; 1805–1885), concerning the issues of salvation of worldly people. Instructions and advice from Fr. Jerome, confessor of the Russian St. Panteleimon Monastery on Mount Athos, have not lost their significance and at the present time - these are our aids on the path of salvation. And just as during the life of the elder the people who came into contact with him changed, so now his spiritual heritage, examples of a godly life contribute to the transformation of the soul of a sinful person. The book is intended for a wide range of Orthodox readers. The design of the book uses drawings by the artist Dmitry Polyakov.
