The work “Open Conspiracy” belongs to the pen of the famous English writer H.G. Wells, widely known in Russia as the author of science fiction novels “Time Machine”, “Invisible Man”, “War of the Worlds” and others. In addition, Wells worked in the genres of domestic novel, children's, popular science literature and journalism. "Open Conspiracy" is a rare genre for an English writer, which can be called political. The proposed work can even be called a manifesto calling for humanity to rebuild the world on a new basis. "Open Conspiracy" has not previously been translated into Russian and has not been published in our country The first version of this work saw the light of day in 1928. The work has been reworked and reprinted several times. This book has been translated since 1933. The essence of Wells’ proposed reorganization of the world is the dismantling of sovereign states and the creation of a World State headed by a World Government instead. Some of the positions of the Open Conspiracy program look utopian, but at the same time, a number of provisions of the program have already been implemented, and some are under implementation.
