The most ancient ideas about space and time are most fully realized in cultures of the shamanic type, especially if shamanism is understood not as a regional version of religious beliefs and not as a religion in the generally accepted sense, but as the most ancient universal form of worldview, characteristic of non-literate cultures. The shamanic model of the world is especially vividly represented in the traditional cultures of Siberia.
