Sren Kierkegaard (181355) eminent Danish philosopher, theologian and writer, founder of existentialism. What is existence? What does it mean to exist? In search of answers to these questions, Kierkegaard raised a whole layer of problems that inevitably confront a thinking person. Despair, fear, self-deception, the desire for sin, repentance, the agony of choice he wrote only about what he deeply felt in his own experience. Kierkegaard boldly argued with official theology, defending the thesis of the reality of Christianity only for the elect. His work had a huge impact on the literature, philosophy and theology of the twentieth century and has remained relevant to the present day.
