When Robin wakes up in the clinic with almost no memories, he quickly realizes that someone wants to kill him. In the courtyard of the twenty-seventh century, death is defeated, between the stars travel through the gates of teleports, and conflicts are solved with the help of network worms that rewrite human consciousness. And with the early version of Robin, it seems to have done just that. Trying to escape persecution, he voluntarily agrees to go to an artificially created, closed society designed to study the Dark Ages, that is, the end of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century. According to the terms of the experiment, each participant creates a new personality that is not related to the previous one. But salvation quickly turns into a real trap, and scientific research - a real nightmare. And now Robin finds himself under the complete control of experimenters - and also at the mercy of his unbalanced psyche.
