Does a person have free will? Is a person really fully responsible for his actions? Are our actions predetermined by genes, environment and upbringing? These questions are not idle. The question of free will concerns almost all the concepts that matter to us. Moral values, the law, social values, political life, religion, public administration, relationships, guilt and personal achievements - all the main thing in a person's life is due to the fact that we consider ourselves and other people as individuals with freedom of choice. The famous American scientist and philosopher Sam Harris calls into question the seemingly unshakable postulate of free will. Argumentatively and with the help of vivid examples, Harris proves that in fact there is no free will, but this truth does not destroy our morality and does not underestimate the importance of political and social freedoms.
