The textbook is a part of the educational and methodological complex on the practical course of English and is intended for practical classes on the practice of oral and written speech in the 3rd year of special faculties . The manual introduces students to the basic principles of text analysis, including the interpretation of the title of the story, the analysis of the structure of the work of art, the definition of the type of narrator and writing technique, as well as the features of the language content of the work. This work is the initial stage of preparing students for reading with a deep understanding of the text - analytical reading. Materials for independent work include exercises on vocabulary, a variety of project (individual and group) tasks aimed at independent information search, logical comprehension of the problem under discussion, the formation of the ability to present the created project. The publication also includes topics for writing essays and applications with thematic articles for reference.
