The course of lectures was prepared at the Department of Geoecology and Engineering Geology in accordance with the work program, the curriculum in the discipline "Fundamentals of environmental management" and the requirements of the state educational standard of higher education of the Russian Federation . The publication includes a brief summary of seven topics. The narrative is about the ecological and geographical foundations of nature management, the classification of natural resources . The ecological state of natural-anthropogenic systems and its assessment, optimization of the relationship between society and nature are given. At the end of the course, aspects such as “Rational use of natural resources” and “Improvement of the properties of natural and natural-anthropogenic geosystems” are disclosed. The manual is intended for students of the Faculty of Ecology, studying in the direction of bachelor's degree 05. 03. 06 "Ecology and environmental management" full-time training, but will also be useful for students in the preparation of coursework and final qualifying works .
