And although it was translated back in the 50s, it was first published in Russian only in 1989 in several issues of the magazine "Questions of History" and since then it has not been reprinted anywhere. The reason for the ban on the publication of "Disclosures... This is the content of the fourth chapter of this work, which contains extremely unflattering reviews of Russia and its rulers, as well as the policy of imperial expansion of Russia. Marx’s conclusions contradicted too much the great-power, patriotic conception of history that the Soviet bureaucracy had hammered into people’s heads.
