The creativity of Kosta Khetagurov is one of the most remarkable phenomena in the history of literature of the Ossetian people. An inspired poet and tireless educator, painter and combat journalist, prose writer and ethnographer, he ranks among the largest representatives of revolutionary democracy. The heyday of Khetagurov’s creativity falls in the 80-90s of the 19th century. This publication includes selected poems: Ossetian lyrics, poems and poems written in Russian. The publication is preceded by a creative biographical article by V. Korzun “Kosta Khetagurov”.
