The training manual sets out the main sections for the development of the course decorative gardening . Much attention is paid to the characteristics of landscaping objects, the rules for the selection and placement of plants at the objects of garden and park construction, the study of the biological features of ornamental crops and the creation of optimal conditions for their cultivation. The description of species and varieties of conifers, hardwoods, roses, curly, heath, herbaceous floral, decorative-leaved and soil-covering groups. The technology of cultivation of ornamental plants is presented: the requirements for seedlings are indicated, a system of fertilizers and soil treatment, rules for laying and maintaining tree-and-shrub and herbaceous plantations are developed. A separate chapter is devoted to lawn science - types of lawns, the preparation of lawn grass mixtures, laying technology and features of care in accordance with the type of lawn . A specialist in decorative gardening should not only know the types of ornamental plants, but also skillfully apply them in landscape architecture.
