Biology of chordates is a branch of biology that studies the diversity, anatomical structure and vital activity of animals, their distribution and relationship with the environment, the patterns of ontogenesis and phylogeny. The main distinguishing feature of chordates is the presence of a longitudinal dorsal strand - a chord that is located between the spinal nerve tube and the intestine. The chord serves as an internal support for the body and enhances the locomotor abilities of the animal. As a result of studying the section "Biology of chordates", students should learn about the animal world, the laws of reproduction, and also be able to develop methods for managing these processes.
