The action of the novel "Wolfs and Wolves" takes place in two times - in Ancient Rome and in modern Moscow, where the film director Alexei Kirsanov, overcome by obsessive dreams, makes a film about Ancient Rome. But the main character is Amrit, a former member of the Privy College, known as the Violator. Amrit has mastered the secret knowledge that helps him to remain immortal: he “settles” from body to body, wanders from one time to another, building corridors of events in order to eventually make a magical pattern of events, with the help of which he hopes to master higher knowledge. Moving in time with the Violator, the reader gets the opportunity to trace the lives of individuals who do not end with the arrival of death, but stretch for millennia. Each new birth is only an awakening after a short sleep and a further continuation of the interrupted path.
